"Città di Lucca" cooperative society

The Cooperative Society City of Lucca, established in 1993, has been engaged from the beginning in various activities related to the management of regulated parking services and sustainable mobility in urban areas, acquiring specific know-how and a significant amount of experience in these fields.

 

Since its origin, the cooperative society has distinguished itself in the management of services, predominantly entrusted by public entities, providing a significant contribution to the development and optimization of these services in the areas and structures assigned for this purpose. In particular, the society has excelled in the internal development of dedicated software for the management of these services, both from a user perspective and from an administrative standpoint.

 

Città di Lucca Soc. Coop., besides having solid experience in the world of parking and all its related facets, is specializing in the management of sustainable mobility as it firmly believes that parking and mobility can be unified and that their management can lead to a drastic reduction in environmental pollution, especially in large cities, thereby improving and optimizing both user experience and environmental protection.

 

With a solid background of experience, expertise, and reliability, the cooperative society proves to be an ideal partner for the effective and professional management of parking and mobility services, capable of offering customized solutions for the needs of the communities it serves.

 

The cooperative society, leveraging its nearly thirty years of experience, is now able to offer a complete package of activities necessary for a comprehensive and articulated management of the services provided, including but not limited to the following areas:

 

1. Design and setup of areas subject to regulated parking

2. Management of services for issuing permits

3. Parking control

4. Maintenance of facilities and information systems

5. Design and management of services related to promoting green mobility, such as organizing collective shuttle services, car sharing or rental, electric bikes, scooters, etc.

6. Design and execution of maintenance services related to roadways and public areas within the territories affected by the regulated parking system

 

In conclusion, the experience gained in the sector and the ability to adapt to the needs of the served communities are strengths that confirm the solidity and reliability of the cooperative society in providing high-quality services. To support this claim, below are the main operations that Città di Lucca has carried out in the sector:

 

1. Management of parking and tourism from the cooperative’s establishment (1995) to 2004; initially directly and then (from September 2002) through a tender by the company Polis (a subsidiary of the municipality of Lucca) until September 2004.

2. Management of the Municipality of Camaiore and Lido di Camaiore from March 2005 to the present.

3. Management of the camper parking area in Camaiore since 2020.

4. Management of the Municipality of Vergemoli, specifically in Vagli, from July 2008 to September 2009.

5. Provision of parking meters with maintenance and cash handling services in Pieve a Nievole, from January 2024.

A special focus is definitely on renewable energies as we firmly believe that they are the future and the salvation of our planet and that is why for 15 years our parking meters have all been equipped with photovoltaic panels and our traffic auxiliaries simple bicycles to move around the area. In recent years, “Green” innovation has been expanding into a new field, sharing, that is, the rental via App of electric or simply mechanical vehicles to try to reduce urban traffic and consequently pollution.
Right now we are organizing ourselves to have this service available in the hope of being able to participate with this small action in the reduction of pollution that in recent years is causing great problems to our planet.
